DC WAY Cancellation Policies

Camp, Clinic & Program withdrawal/refund policy

DC WAY soccer school appreciates your understanding of our cancellation/refund policy. We understand that injuries and family emergencies occur and that schedules change, but we have to make significant program investments well in advance of the start dates to ensure the best possible experience for all attending players.

All cancellation requests must be submitted via email and are subject to review by our staff.

  • Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the start of program and prior in order to receive 100% refund of program cost minus website fee associated with accepting credit card.

  • Refunds will not be available for cancellation requests submitted fewer than seven days before the start of program. However, in that case, any participant who is unable to attend their program, will be granted full credit for the purchased amount to be applied toward any other DC WAY program. Credits never expire and non-transferable.

  • Same week cancellations will not be eligible for a credit unless there are extenuating circumstances, as determined and approved by the DC WAY Administrator.

  • Children who do not attend program and do not submit a credit request prior to the start of the program will NOT be eligible for any form of refund.

  • If a player attending program is injured, the Administrator will consider a store credit. Physician's note outlining that the player cannot continue to participate may be requested in order for the credit to be granted.

 

Anyone wishing to cancel registration must email their request to our head coach Denis Chekuristov at denisc1985@gmail.com or DC WAY Administrator Veronika Simon at veronika.dcway@gmail.com.

Requests should include participant’s name, age, program name, date, and appropriate reason for a refund.

All cancellations will be processed at earliest convenience, money will be returned to the credit card that was used to register.

 

Inclement weather policy

As we all know, weather in the Capitol Hill area can be unpredictable at times.  We hope to have the best weather during our camps and clinics; however, good weather is not always guaranteed.  At DC Way, we continue playing outside when there is a little on and off drizzle.  However, if weather becomes unplayable and you must pick up your kid or our program is cancelled ahead of time, a refund or credit will be available.

  • DC Way will notify of a program cancellation due to inclement weather on the website 24 hours in advanced on the corresponding program’s page.

  • If there is thunder and/or lightning, then the DC Way team and campers will wait inside for 30 minutes until it clears.  If weather does not clear, then the camp will be cancelled.

  • Preference of refund or credit will be indicated on the program sign-up form.  Credits never expire and are non-transferable.  Refunded money will be returned to the credit card that was used to register.

  • Participants will receive 100% refund of program costs minus website fee associated with accepting credit card if program is cancelled in the beginning. 

  • Credits given will be equivalent to registered program.  For example, if you received a credit for a One Day Camp cancellation then the credit can only be used for another One Day Camp.

  • If you wish to change refund or credit preference indicated, then send a request via email 1 day prior to the start of the program.
